You can never go wrong with a good Christmas movie I think, to get you in the festive spirit.  I have put together a list of my favourite Christmas movies .
Most of these i do not watch until Christmas Eve which a tradition in my house.

ELF

This is my all time FAVOURITE Christmas film. It is fun, festive and silly. Will Ferrel is amazing in this film and it has so many memorable moments and phrases, which for me is why it is my all time favourite.

STORYLINE
Buddy was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa's sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs. Hobbs, on Santa's naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter's relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities.(taken from IMDB)

"Cotton-headed ninnymuggins"

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear"

"I just like to smile. Smiling's my favourite"

"SANTA! OH MY GOD! SANTA'S COMING! I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM!"

" Buddy the Elf, what's your favourite colour?"

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

This is such a good film. Not my favourite but definitely in my top 10 films.

STORYLINE
Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville. In Whoville, live the Whos, an almost mutated sort of munchkinlike people. All the Whos love Christmas, yet just outside of their beloved Whoville lives the Grinch. The Grinch is a nasty creature that hates Christmas, and plots to steal it away from the Whos which he equally abhors. Yet a small child, Cindy Lou Who, decides to try befriend the Grinch.(taken from IMDB)

Love Actually

I love this film! The fact that there are so many different storylines that all somehow link together all the characters.

STORYLINE
The characters are falling in love, falling out of love, some are with right people, some are with the wrong people, some are looking to have an affair, some are in the period of mourning; a capsule summary of reality. Love begins and love ends. They flirt a lot. They are all flirting with love. At all ages and social levels, love is the theme. Romantic love and brotherly love is the hotchpotch through out the movie. Most of the movie is filmed in London, during Christmas and the characters all ended up at Heathrow airport a very uplifting note.(taken from IMDB)

Jingle All The Way

An oldie but goodie!

STORYLINE
Meet Howard Langston, a salesman for a mattress company is constantly busy at his job, and he also constantly disappoints his son, after he misses his son's karate exposition, he tries hard to come up with a way to make it up to him, this is when his son tells Howard that he wants for Christmas is an action figure of his son's television hero, Turbo Man. Unfortunately for Howard, it is Christmas Eve, and every store is sold out of Turbo Man figures, now Howard must travel all over town and compete with everybody else including a mail man named Myron to find a Turbo Man action figure, and to make it to the Wintertainment parade which will feature Turbo Man.
