How To Stay Organised: Make Up

One of my biggest traits is my organisation and how everything in my life has to be organised for me to get by. 

That is why I have decided to start a mini series about how I organise my life to keep everything just how it should be. 

The first of the series is my make up collection since this is mainly a beauty focuses blog. 

My make up collection is reorganised every one to two months. Whenever I get new make up I tend to get out my collection and decided whether or not to change it up a little. 

My make up is split in sections.

-Palettes (eyes and face)

-Powders (pressed powders/bronzers/blushes/loose powders) and Highlighters

-Eyes (mascara/single eyeshadows/liners)

-Face (foundations/primers/concealers)

-Brows

-Lip Products

I also then have my brushes in two separate make up bags. One for those I use the most and the other contains spare brushes that I maybe don't use all they much. 

My lip products are split up separately. Mainly by brand. A while ago I got a unit with lots of little mini storage boxes which I use mainly for my lippies. 

I currently use 3 of them to store my MAC lippies. One for my Benefit lip glosses and i use one to store random lipglosses and lip pencils.

To store my Smashbox lipglosses, Make Up Revolution Velvet Laquers, Make Up Revolution lipsticks, Freedom lipsticks, and my lipsticks from Barry M, Chanel, Maybelline and Ted Baker I use a Ted Baker box that i received with a bath set last Christmas.

I then store my Too Faced melted lipsticks in my La Grand Chateau house that came in the Christmas collection. 

As well as all of these I have a separate make up bag (which I received from Benefit) which is full of my samples, testers and travel size products. 

The best way I feel to stay organised is to  know where everything is,have them all in their own places. 

I also make sure that as soon as I use each product that it goes back in its rightful place until next time.

Barry M Flawless Primer Review

I always get excited when I see new releases with Barry M. The brand is colourful, girly, greatly priced and good quality. 

As soon as I seen the new launch of the Flawless Primer collection I had to find out what it was like. 

The set consists of 3 different primers. 

Original 

Colour Correcting 

Brightening

Very liquid when you apply a pump to your hand, but seems to harden (if that's the right word) quite quickly. 

It applies to the face really easily, one thing o would say though is that it becomes quite sticky feeling/ consistency once on the face.

I love the fact that there are three different ones to choose from. One which is fairly neautral, one for the days where you have quite a bit of redness and another for of your skin is looking rather dull to give it a bit of a boost. 

There are better primers out there on the market but I think these are pretty good!

My Favourite Mascaras

I am going to show you all my current favourite mascaras. At the moment I have quite a few and I tend to alternate depending on what i am doing. 

MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara

I have only recently started using this mascara after my friends got me it for my birthday this year. This mascara is brilliant. It creates length and thickness to give you the effect of wearing false lashes without actually having to. I am absolutely terrible at applying false eyelashes so this mascara is great for me. It can go a little clumpy but it is easy to fix. 

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I absolutely adore this mascara. I have only been using it for about a month now as I only recently discovered this brand but I fell in love with it right away. This mascara works really well for me as I already have rather long lashes and so I use it more to define the length and add a little thickness. Definitely recommend this to anyone. 

Ted Baker London Mascara

I got this for Christmas last year in a Ted Baker make up set and absolutely love it. The bristles are good for separating your lashes and lengthening them. 

One thing that really annoys me is that the Ted baker beauty sets only ever come out at Christmas in Boots. Wish it was available all year round. 

Barry M Showgirl Mascara

Again, a very recent mascara in my collection. I had heard good things about this mascara so I decided to try it and they were right! This is great! Creates quite a natural look I think and is not too clumpy.
